I saw the T-shit being worn my many McLaren supporters on Saturday at the Australian GP when I was there for the qualifying. In fact someone I knew had one on (and I must say I like the T-shit) and I had a good look at it. I was quite surprised and VERY HAPPY to see that on the shirt there was nowhere where it said the word "MCLAREN". That is quite interesting isn't it? On the front as you can see from the picture it says only Vodafone and Mercedes with a Mercedes logo on it as well. On the side it has another sponsor but no McLaren. On the back (and sorry I couldn't find you a picture) it was very much the same story except just behind the back of the collar (if it has a collar or just on the bact under the neck bit if it does not) there was a tiny McLaren logo (without the word McLaren, just the symbol). So tiny and there only because they had to put it there perhaps? This clearly shows change. Mercedes has indeed increased their stake in McLaren and even this shirt indicates that soon there will be no more McLaren and just Mercedes. It shows that they will eventually drop the McLaren name (I know no McLaren supporter wants to admit or accept this). They are even making t-shirts now as you can see that has no McLaren name on it and just Vodafone Mercedes. The tiny McLaren sysmbol which is barely noticeable and I actually had to have this person turn around for me so I could find it, will be the last of it and when the full Mercedes take over happens it will be TEAM VODAFONE MERCEDES and Ron Dennis will be gone and then REJOYCE AND PARTY TIME IT IS as the end of McLaren will be complete.

Yeah I love German cars. I will not go for Mercedes, however if they win I wont care in just the same way as when say BMW or Renault win. I wish there could be a Porsche team. Porsche is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Viva Ferrari and Porsche. *LOL*

By the way when I wrote this I must of been s bit asleep. I Met T-Shirt. Not T-Shit. Sorry. Thought I might mention it as I wasn't meaning to write it like that to be funny as I think the T-shirt looks nice, although I cannot wear one as it still is a McLaren T-shirt and I do not like McLaren at all.

Oh yes it does You know it will happen. Serach your feelings and you will know that it is true. Older McLaren shirts have McLaren written all over them really BIG. This one has that little ugly McLaren symbol right on the back where you can hardly see it. And to anyone who knows little about F1 it will mean nothing. But they will all know what MERCEDES is. *LOL*

So why did they still have enough money to stick the Mercedes name and logo on it really big? I guess that was more important then the McLaren logo and name given Mercedes is what it will be in the near future. Nice try but that excuse will not get you out of this one. .

When Ron steps down and Mercedes take over, they won't change the name of the team, the name "McLaren" carries a legacy and it would be shameful for the name to be cast aside. Bruce McLaren would turn in his grave.

Once again AKR dangles the line and all the Mclaren fans take the bait. It is a damn t-shirt everybody! Anyone with half brain would know the team is Mclaren so why are we having this crazy discussion!!

Mine from last year(before the fuss ) doesnt have McLaren on it. Like 8ball said it doesnt need it everyone knows its McLaren.

Maybe McLaren got the idea from Prince, just use a symbol in place of your name, or as he preferred to be known as "the artist formerly known as Prince".
