That isn't FAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! McLaren came last as a result of the scandal and deserve nothing more than the last and smallest garage! Now look who is duckling up to the FIA!!!!

Well I guess McLaren supporters can't complain anymore and whine that rules are always bent for Ferrari. *LOL*

I have to agree with the Ferrari fans here, although its not about Ferrari, its more about the teams that will now have to shift 1 pit down to let McL in.
It seems a bit inconsistent of the FIA to allow this. What message does this send to the teams & the fans?.
I thought that the penalty on McL was too harsh, but, that was the penalty, so why has it been modified now? There is a great deal of adhering rigidly to the rules in F1 - this just does not make sense.
Anyway, why has it been Bernies decision to do this? Isn't this an FIA issue?
I'm pleased for McL, but it really does not seem right to me, and I am disappointed for the teams that have to make way.

Oh that's just out of it. There's no way to rationalise that, it's simply unfair.

This is getting ridiculous are there any real rules left in the sport anymore!? Its making me feel a bit disalutioned with the whole sport, equal rights? What a slap in the face for the lower teams! I wonder how long its going to be until the 'big' teams aren't allowed to not finish out of the points

Its things like this that make me wonder about the 'sport' it really is all about money!

well, after the first impressions, i would say it's just a provocation made by Da Big Boss (at least i hope it is), otherwise, i can't see how it can be accepted by all the other teams...

Only this is Ecclestone's doing, but it shows the levels of inconsistency and politics which dog Formula One.

It's a commercial issue as well. If your garage is too far down the pit lane, then your sponsors cannot use the VIP facilities etc. Given that McLaren are linked with some pretty big companies, Eccles has got a little worried and pulled some strings.

I think the penalty on McLaren was a farce anyway, so I'm not complaining, but if the powers that be are going to make a ruling, the least they could do is stick it. Once again, the people in grey suits have sent out all the wrong signals, disenchanting more fans, turning off potential fans, and getting the backs up of the other teams.

I don't think it should be done, regardless of what the sponsors and Bernie think/want. They finished last in the WCC, therefore they should occupy the last garage in the pit lane. Red Bull rightfully finished fifth, so they should be in the fifth garage. It's not fair for Force India, who finished in the WCC ahead of McLaren (as Spyker, yes, but still) to be in the last garage.

It's appalling, pathetic and if Mclaren want to maintain some dignity they should reject the move and go back where they belong
