If Max Moseley left the FIA and you could elect a new leader who would it be?

Some suggestions:-

Martin Brundel - Knows about the sport from the fans, the teams and the drivers perspectives.

Jackie Stewart - Has been a driver and team principal. Very commited to F1

The Stig - Doesn't say much, just gets on with it.

Paul Stoddard - Knows about F1, been a team principal, doesn't stand for nonsense

Hilary Clinton - doesn't seem to know much about anything so would fit well into MMs shoes.

Others?

Out of that list, Stewart, Stoddart and Brundle would be very good candidates, but a change in leadership will only fix the problems temporarily. What happens when they were no longer in the job and we got another dictator in the post? What needs to happen at the FIA is root and branch reform, with proper checks and balances on the President etc.

My brain says Sir Jackie Stewart, my heart also says Sir Jackie, and my silly side says Jeremy Clarkson. :P

None of the above. And btw. it's Hillary.

Mario Andretti anybody?

AP? MH? MS? Peter Sauber? Eddie Jordan? Jos the boss? Steve Matchett?

All decent and smart people who know what they're talking about and also give a poo about F1 and its future without much politicking.
Maybe the presidency should be replaced by a 'triumvirate' made up of an ex-driver, ex-team owner/boss and ex-engineer/mechanic.

MM said he'll decide in October whether or not to run for re-election. Let's wait and see (© Kimi).

Stewart fantastic candidate, really stick it to Mosley.

But I would also point you to Sir Jackie's past.
Under pressure from Bernie and Co, he did a very good jobs as BRDC leader, he has a history of being a fantastic buisinessman both for Ford and RBS. But he won't take it... I think he's happy as he is probs.

Stoddart or Eddie Jordan, both would be also good candidates,

Something makes me think Todt or Dennis may still have a say sometime...

But I mean, does it even need to be someone from the world of F1? The FIA represents all forms of Motorsport... mind you will probs be some lawyer who gets it lol.

Too old - he'd be 70 by then, not a long-term solution.

True, but he could whip things into shape until they found a young impartial person. I will have a think who it could be :P

Some fresh blood is needed, somebody who can think out of the box.
