All the best for the New Year one and all. Lucky me, i'm off to Istanbul in May for the Turkish. Now we were planning on booking seats in the Tribune 8 stand, does anyone out there have any ideas on the seating plan as to give the best views of the last few turns and the start/finish straight.

Yes, I sat at the last but one turn, could see them coming down the hill towards it and round the two last turns(theyre so close together its like one turn.) I sat front row towards the end of the stand where theyre coming towards you. Remember they go anti clockwise at Istanbut park.It was a great view and id sit there again. I'll dig out a pick of the view and post it later. Enjoy Istanbul too, its magic!! My favourite city

Hi. My seat number was Tribune 8 (that does not refer to the turn number) block172 row 1 seat 14. Its the far left pointy part of the track on the map that is posted above.Hope the following pics give a rough idea of the view.





The first pic shows how you can see the cars sweeping round the track towards the last two turns and the second pic shows the close up of the actual last but one turn.This was 2006 and there was lots of overtaking on this turn in GP2, just about a car each lap by Lewis as he recovered from a spin.

Shame we didn't see any of this in last year's race after ITV hyped it up with the higlights from the 2006 GP2 race.

I know it was disappoinying after 2006 but it is a good track. Hope it lives up to its promise. Id definately go again.
