Talking of his time with Renault he was asked if he was sad to leave the team. "Yes, very much, especially because of the many years together. The winning car they promised never came."

surely he didnt mean it like that

the fool!

No, Fisi seems pretty bitter after leaving Renault.
I think hes just kidding himself if he thought Renault would keep him on. I mean Alonso and Piquet, or Alonso and Fisi again.

The winning car never came, but if it did, we all know Kovalinen would have been the leading Renault driver

Fisichella is totally embittered about leaving Renault, everybody knows that. The fact he was out-classed by Alonso and was quickly bested by Kovalainen. He's not good enough. End of story. Like Ralf Schumacher, he's another never been who thinks too much of himself and should go to Nascar, A1 Grand Prix or Champ Cars, series which tolerate rejects.

he could have at least said that the team was not 100% behind him, but that he didint have the winning car where the team and his team mate won two titles, is just stupid

glad hes gone now,

looking forward to seeing that new race winning renault on the 31st

In 2005 and 2006 he had a winning car but didn't win too many races - why was that ?

Fisi is a loser !

I think he just misses Symonds' cattle prod and nagging.

For most all of his career I've enjoyed Fisi's attitude. He has always seemed very professional, and I don't recall him dis'ing too many other drivers, even in the heat of combat. I think he handled the competition with Alonso much better than Alonso handled the competition with Hamilton. I'm glad he is still in F1, and I'm also sure he will do his best for his new team.

Considering that he has done something most F1 drivers will never do, that is, win a race, he will always have my respect.

Id agree with that TheRosewellite. Fisi cerainly had speed and who knows what unfair conditions he was working under with Alonso, especially when Alonso was champion "Im champion therefore......." Fisi's trouble was he let his head drop, was easy to psych out.He did not have that extra bit required to make a champion but teams lower down the grid dont neccessarily need that. What he has will be great for his new team. He is experienced, has speed, knows how to win races, runs his own F2 team and can work with spoilt brats. He is also a nice guy. Dont think he bears comparison with Ralph!! And he was so cute when he first came to F1 without any English!! :D

Will his head drop though being an also ran in a car that I think will be middle to the back of the grid at best, with a team mate that could show him the way. I think for Fisi's career it will be make of brake for him in the first few races of this season, if he gets his arse kicked for the first few races he is going to let it drop and that will be the end of his career

Yes that could happen. Depends if he can maintain motivation by developing the team

Fisichella had to put up with Alonso, I feel sorry for the man. I don't think Alonso can call Fisichella a friend, I been to Fisichella website.
