Sutil is already confirmed...

My guess is that Force India and Fisichella were on the same "frequency" just after his driving with them. Then something happened (The: Fisi won't pay to drive-discussion?) and the team couldn't confirm their lineup before Christmas.

The feeling is that Liuzzi is the Italian to make it into the team, but they would rather consider Fisi if they wants some quick improvements and a few points in 2k8!

As much as Fisi is a waste on the grid, he will be confirmed with Luizzi as the TEST/Reserve driver....

Its a good job (for them) that they didn't pick R. Shumacher as he was the slowest driver in their car.
So what do you reckon now? Will they be able to finish above the last 2 places in both championships?

I'm surprised. I can understand why, but i though it would be Klien. Ah well.
I'm sure that Mallya wanted experience, considering you need that with Sutil only in 2nd year, and Spyker didn't give to much good experience.

Fisi has now been confirmed. Perhaps now in a lesser team he might be able to surprise a few people with less pressure on him? It'll all benefit Sutil as well.

Do you really think that there will be less pressure on Fisi? He will now be the senior (in age / experience) driver in a' back of the grid' team with new management and a young ,relatively new boy, co driver who has already shown that he can drive this car. I'd say that Fisi has even more pressure than when he was in an established team. He has to be able to show some leadership now, and I dont think that he is a natural leader, he has to get the car off the back of the grid, he has to get along with the new management and he really needs to keep Sutil behind him. I think that Fisi works best when he is cuddled and looked after, and that aint going to happen in Force India.
Good luck to them all but I think that Fisi may struggle a bit, and I think that Sutil may show him the way.

I agree Bud, Klien / Sutil would have been a good partnership as drivers but, maybe a tad inexperienced and immature though? A good driver has to perform well off the track as well as on it. I think that there is a lot of off track work to be done here. Not just with the car but team morale, new management etc.

Sutil will force Fisi out of the seat by mid season and be replaced by Luizzi....
