How will Ferrari and Nigel insert their interests into the Renault-Gate hearing in December. Might they argue MS/ Ferrari placed 2nd in 2006 drivers and constructor championship, Renault won both titles with stolen McLaren data. Will they seek a retroactive disqualification of Renaults 2006 titles. As the FIA's inhouse team and attack dog, what parts will they play.

Let's hope not. Dredging up old 'war wound's' is a feable attempt that only prove's how low one is willing to stoop for their ego, let's just get on with the racing!

No I'm not kidding, they will find a way even if it is to argue on Renault's behalf, and Renault's pentalty should not be as severe as levied on McLaren.

Why not? It is still based upon proprietary information that is owned by McLaren!

There will be arguement that Renault can"t afford a $100M penalty, causing them to leave F1 and that would be fot the sport.

I see what your saying as Renault is known to have less factory support than alot of other team's. Also Renault, the manufacturer, said they would be willing to make up the difference between Alonso's salary request and what Flavio had offered him.
If the Renault team's fine come's close to, if not matching, McLaren's fine I see dire straight's for the future of Renault in F1.

I doubt that would happen, in that theory someone could easily go and ask the FIA to strip Niki Lauda and Brabham's victory in the 1978 Swedish GP because of the Brabham fan car.
