I agree Bud, Kimi wont be stripped at this stage and, anyway, he was driving a Ferrari so there is no chance the FIA will penalise their 'in house' team. I am no Ferrari supporter but Kimi won it and thats it, and he deserves it.
Kimi won the drivers champ. but Ferrari did not win the constructors - well only on paper.

Why is Bernie threatening to quit? Is he trying to influence the appeal? If it was us judging the appeal then Bernies threat would be bad news for BMW & Williams!!, but as its the FIA who knows?

The distance between Massa and Kimi, when Kimi exited the pit's, was very small but Kimi's two extra SMOKING lap's are what made the difference imo. Also maybe Massa was too hard on his tire's thus the reason he stopped sooner? Also I think Massa's tire's had not come up to temperature so he could not push as hard as he would have liked to protect his lead.

There is simply no way they are taking the drivers points. They have already set a precedent by not taking the points from Alonso and Hamilton.

On top of that what are the odds to two separate F1 teams would cheat in the same way at the same time to the EXACT same degree? It seems more likely the temp readings were off.

and the term cheat for BMW and Williams is abit off, could just be a miscalculation as every team runs on the ragged edge of the rules to gain as much performance as possible.

Scott Speed was in Melbourne this year, and remember Kubica was excluded in Hungary last year for running underweight giving Schumi 1 title point which was handy for him come Japan til engine troubles

Agreed. Remember Mad Max's comments about the tiny martins we're dealing with in Formula One? That has to be applied here, as had been done before. I don't think Hamilton should be given the title, nor do I really think the drivers should be punished. Maybe take away their constructors' points for the race or, what I think should happen, a financial penalty.

This is not about Massa v Kimi is it? Its about Bernie threatening to leave and why he's doing it. I don't think that Bernie would give up his powerful position and cash machine lightly. So why is he doing it? Is he really a man of honour who would give up his position because a (Ferrari) driver had his champinship removed? or is he trying to influence the outcome of the appeal?
I think that politics has risen its ugly head again. Ron Dennis is persuing this because he has had a gutful of FIA this year and people challenging rules, I dont think that he seriously expects Lewis to become champ. but he is making a political point. Bernie is also making a political point I beleive. As for BMW & Williams well I agree that it is almost certainly not deliberate 'cheating' but - rules is rules. Maybe there should be a penalty for McL using an extra set of tyres?

There was. They had a set of tyres taken away. OK, so they were wets and the rest of the weekend was dry, but they need not have been the case.
