LoL, and the drivers had to use a 1969 Dodge Charger and do jumps at every checkpoint, if you cleared at least 10 women in bikini's you got a bonus point.

Cars were fitted with "catch up" technology, you're revs were increased the further back in the field you were.

The final stint had a 20 mile straight where you were allowed to use a Warp Drive button, a boeing engine was fitted to the back of the car and was only allowed to be activated during the final stint of the race....

There's no checkpoint between Switzerland and Liechtenstein - not sure whether they have any with Austria these days. I drove through Liechtenstein almost w/o realizing it and when you blink, you might miss it altogether.
The northern part near Feldkirch seems ideal for a 3-country track - we'll get the Austrian, Swiss and Liechtenstein women in bikinis. The drivers earn extra points for identifying their origins based on the bikini design (hint: cowbells, mailboxes, and Red Bull cans).

Well, so much for my idea:

Four years after the Grand Prix left the country, a federal politician has intervened to prevent Austrian fans from once again experiencing Formula One action.

As the centrepiece of the official opening of the A6-Autobahn at the Czech border on 18th November, it was planned that David Coulthard's Red Bull would christen the stretch with a more than 300kph run.

But minister Werner Faymann put the brakes on the plans because it would have sent the 'wrong signal' both in terms of traffic safety and the environment, he reportedly told the Austrian newspaper Salzburger Nachrichten.
