I think I read that it's about Ferrari wanting to use his experience of non-traction control cars to help them with developing their new car. And he wants a bit of fun.

I read this a couple of hours ago on the Beebs as well. I think Schumi is missing the pitlane, like every other retiree before him.

Probably satisfying two wishes with this test, Schumi dying to get back into the car, even if it is just a test and the team showing respect by valuing his opinion.

How cool would it be for Schumi to make a comeback in 2009...

He's probably been invited back to try out the car, don't see it being much different from Nigel Mansell and Riccardo Patrese being invited back for post-season testing with Jordan and Williams respectively in 1996 (with Patrese setting a time that would have got him 5th on the grid at that year's British GP!).

Schuy drives the F2007, let the conspiracy theories role.
I think to many people miss Schuy more than they'll admit, lol.

Hes not coming back, but its worth while for Ferrari to get some experience in, simply so they can benefit from it.

Besides, if i retired, i wouldn't mind a go in the next years car.

Agreed. Big deal. He will be testing this year's car at Barcelona most probably for some fun, curiosity and lending a hand to Ferrari.

Unless he's on his way to McLaren, and taking all of the technical knowledge with him.

Now, that's obviously just Patrick Head trying to ward them off Rosberg by putting ideas in their heads, as the story says.

But it's certainly an interesting idea.

Another interesting idea... will Hamilton be testing on the same day Schumi's there for Ferrari?

My mother could have qualified fifth in that car!!!

Didn't he drive for Mercedes in Sportscars?

I can't see Schumacher and Ron Dennis getting along to be honest...
