I want to get an F1 game and wondered if anyone had any thoughts on the best game out there for a PC. Is it GP4? Is there a new one coming out soon? I've been googling it but any recommendation welcome.

The ones by Microporose ( GP1, GP2, GP3 & GP4) were first class in their day - more of a simulator than a game.

I used to play the first one on an Atari ST and was blown away by the graphics......long time ago.

yeah for a real F1 game f1 challenge is the best, or, you can try a modded rfactor...

Grand Prix Legends is so far ahead of everything else it's obscene. It really is absolutely mighty.

In terms of modern slicks'n'wings F1, I think as an evolution of the legendary GP2 and underrated GP3 games Grand Prix 4 is probably best. I wasn't at all impressed with the EA Games offerings.

games waste a lot of time, i'd suggest to not play, if u insist i can tell you, best f1 game on pc is yet f1 challenge 99 - 02, and download and install the updates of season 08.. it'll become new game

You can only buy RFactor online and download it. You can download a trial version. Some countries do sell it in shops but I got mine online.

Currently the best game would be rFactor, available at rFactor.net. F1 Challenge 99-02 (F1C) is a good choice too. And of any pc racing game, F1C has the broadest range of racing series available as addons (see the forums at racesimcentral.org). The rFactor game will eventually catch up to F1C in terms of the variety of racing series available.
