Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone has ruled out the possibility of a London Grand Prix. Ecclestone had spoken to London mayor Ken Livingstone in the past about the possibility of hosting an F1 race through the streets of London however he said he now feels it is “too expensiveâ€

I should have specified for everyone that my 'hitting the nail on the head' comment was in reference to the Silverstone situation. If F1 lost that venue it would be a crying shame.

pretty well all the F1 tracks that are not state owned are having difficulty hosting F1 events, thanks to the Greedy old man

Its important that F1 has some of these historical tracks during the season, not some poorly planned street circuit.

If they're trying to make F1 more exciting, it doesn't make any sense to keep adding street races to the calendar. If they're anything like Monaco, they'll just be a procession, and that's not what F1 fans are after.

I agree with raithrover, F1 needs to keep it's historical tracks. We've had so many new circuits confirmed at the moment that we'll eventually lose a favourite due to money. Bernie needs to calm himself down.
