"People are very quick to talk about strategy but the simple headline is that Fernando, who executed a perfect two stop-strategy in our opinion, was 33 seconds ahead of Lewis when we chose to switch to a three-stop strategy and at the end of the race was 20 seconds ahead of him.

“So we think the strategy made up between 10 and 15 seconds.

“The reason he was able to make up time was that he was constantly fed back onto the circuit in clear air or with slower cars that he could easily overtake because he was carrying less fuel and his tyres were in better condition.â€

Don't think it was to blame but it certainly didn't help.

I was surprised they did a 3 stopper, I thought his best chance was to do a one stopper or atleast do a short middle stint then a long last one.
All in all it got him 7th from 18th which isnt too bad when you think about it!

8) The Stonemonkey theory of the Universe says that the 3 stopper was a last desperate attempt to prevent Hamilton from winning the title... that's why Eccles said that he thought Raikkonen would win in a pre-race interview with Martin Brundle. He took the cheap-shot for the sake of boosting his already massive ego. But he knew... he knew. 8)

P.S. Dali... I have encoded garlic and crosses into this post ... quote it and you will instantaneously become nothing but a pile of dust.
