McLaren bans Ferrari from team quarters 07/10/07
McLaren has banned Ferrari team members from entering its hospitality facilities for fear of another spying scandal, according to reports.

It is claimed by the Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo that the Woking based team sent a letter to that effect to Ferrari boss Jean Todt ten days ago.

McLaren was fined $100m and kicked out of the constructors' championship recently at the end of a scandal involving the transfer of Ferrari secrets.

El Mundo said McLaren workers, meanwhile, have been advised to not even speak with their Ferrari counterparts at races.

Todt reportedly replied to Ron Dennis' letter, informing him that McLaren team members are still welcome to enjoy Ferrari hospitality at Grand Prix.

"For fear of another spying scandal"

:?::?::shock:

Let me get this right. McLaren were proven guilty, and they are the ones that are worried. :?::?::?:

You are sooooo innocent Mikeybabe  . McLaren will ony have to look at Ferrari car or pass the time of day with a Ferrari employee and the poison dwaarf will run to the FIA crying
"Uncle Max, uncle Max, they're cheating again"
Better be safe than sorry with Ferrari and the FIA. They will already be looking for ways to win next year off the track :D

Poison dwaarg I like it. More like a frog, you should give him a kiss he may be your prince charming.

I am a bit surprised racechickybabe. From your response you seem to believe what the article said was all true. :?:
Well I am not that gullible, I don’t believe everything I read.
If you look at the article you will see it’s from a Spanish source & with the situation between Alonso & McLaren at the moment I would not believe it until it came from the horse’s mouth.
I only posted this to see the reaction I got. And I got a bite. (sooooo I am not that innocent )
This is what happens on here I find, people read something that they want to hear and they post it & rave on that is the whole truth and nothing but the true.

But saying all that I would not put it past McLaren that it’s all true, after all Ron is one arrogant dude  & the McLaren Myth has well and truly been BUSTED.

As Hamilton said during the last race weekend, do nothing the FIA can't haul you up for, and then they can't punish you!

The response of Ferrari:

"You do are welcome in our 'motorhome'. We would be pleased with your presence here"

It's only now Ferrari are banned! It should have been done year's ago. The FIA over the closed season and next year will be looking for anything to penalise McLaren for anything.

Spygate: The play

Act One, Scene 1

Jean Todt enters the Vodafone McLaren-Mercedes VIP suite

Barman (in a friendly manner): Hello. How are things at Ferrari?

Todt: What! This is an outrage! How dare you ask me to reveal information about the Ferrari F2008! I shall be taking this to the FIA and the police.

Max Mosley immediately enters the Vodafone McLaren-Mercedes VIP suite. His entrance is so swift, you would imagine he was looking for an excuse to intervene in the matter

Mosley: What's this I think I heard? Allegations of spying?

Barman: I only...

Mosley (aggressively): Silence. Todt and Ferrari must have their say!

Todt: Yes, what you think you heard is indeed correct. I was only coming in here for a ciggarette and coffee. The man behind the counter then asked me about things at Ferrari. He was seeking to deceive me with his candid looks and friendly voice into giving him information which could be of use to McLaren.

Mosley: Really? I see. Speak, boy. What information were you trying to extract from innocent Jean?

Barman: None. None whatsoever. Being amicable to the customers is part of my job.

Mosley: What you have tried to do is a very serious offence. McLaren were warned last year what would happen if any more evidence was found against them.

Todt: Correct. I was only coming in for a ciggarette and a coffee, a tradition in France, and you try to corrupt me into being a cheat. Ferrari have always acted with nobility and honesty. How dare you think I would stoop as low.

Barman: Evidence? But you've got none.

Mosley: The FIA is my domain. I think I have seen enough here to bring this before the WMSC at the first available date.

Exeunt Todt and Mosley

Act Two, Scene One

Todt and Mosley are in the Ferrari motorhome

Mosley: Excellent work Jean.

Todt: I know. Thank you. We've really got them this season. Which is just as well for we are trailing McLaren in both championships. This should guarantee another successful season for Ferrari, its staff and fans.

Mosley and Todt (together) Muhahaha
