Thats the title of an article in the Sunday Times.

Stepney has said the information traffic flowed both waysbetween Ferrari and McLaren, that he received information from Coughlan.
Stepney also said he questioned the legality of the flexible floor within the team but the teams stance was "If we dont' get caught, its legal".
Two weeks before Australia Stepney sought conformation himself and wrote to Peter Wright and Jo Bauer, technical delegates at the FIA. They ignored him!!
Only then did he tell Coughlan and once Coughlan new the FIA had to act. We all know what happened next. Big smoke screen Ferrari retain their illegal points and McLaren loose all theirs. Bizarre. Time for a change

Oh you mean when Webber couldnt keep his distance and Vettel had a momentary lapse of concentration. Gotcha.

That wasnt the FIA that was the stewards :!:
Maybe FIA didnt get message to stewards in time :lol:

Seems all involved agreed in those conditions no blame could be attributed thats why Vettel got his punishment recinded.

Given that Ferrari, shall we say, are prone to flexing the rules as much as possible, it would not surprise me if they had McLaren information. It transpired they were listening to McLaren radio tranmissions - then they would later criticise McLaren for the same thing. Ferrari have a lot of practice at rule-flexing, so they probably knew not to put the information on paper. However, for as long as Stepney can't produce any evidence it's going to look like sour grapes on his part. He is certainly correct about Ferrari's attitude to the rules and what went on with the flexible floor.
