Hello Mika pup and Darwin Dali. I present the evidence to support my statement that Ferrari were behind the McLaren Spy saga
To appreciate this fully you need to look at several things:-
1) The FIA’s closeness to Ferrari
a) Bernie and Lucca best mates.
b) Quote, Jackie Stewart, “ there are more Ferrari representatives on the world council than anybody else, and it seems that some of the most powerful people in this sport are more aligned to Ferrari than anybody else.â€

Wow, I've never heard any of this before. You're right - the Ferrari scumbags and the FIA suits are in cahoots big time. I had no idea - not fair!
I think Ferrari deserves arsehole FA to drive for them next year and McLaren deserves to win both championships this season - RD handled it so well in hindsight considering what he was up against in those smoke-filled rooms during the FIA hearings. He is the greatest team boss and I hope he'll stick it out a while longer...

[quote="McLaren Fan"]\ At the recent hearing, Ferrari's evidence would not have stood up in a court of law [\quote]

Well, we'll soon see won't we....Ferrari appear to pressing on with legal action outside of the F1 circus so will be interesting to see how that progresses

Read the transcripts (or read them again) and you will see what I mean.

i didnt know the FIA meeting of world council members constituted a courtroom? if this went to court the only evidence being heirsay it would get thrown out!
Face the facts read what Sir Jackie Stewart said, this kind of thing has always happened in the F1 paddock, secrets are always passed through teams. Whats pathetic about this whole saga is the FIA's sudden stance on the matter. it has never had this approach before an

Oh lil man watch your mouth! dont speak to a lady like that! you pathetic w***er! although you are a Ferrari lamb so couldnt expect much more. if only you lived in Australia i would sought you out!

Great post Racechick. Well thought through and presented. Not much sign of Attention Deficit there then Dali! And you "the truth hurts", the guy who has the balls to call another poster "bitch", should be ashamed of yourself. You shame your family and your mother in particular by being such an ill-mannered lout. If I were a moderator, I would ban you.

Flavio is a strait shotter & says it like it is.

Briatore : Little sympathy for McLaren plight
24/09/07 16:09

Flavio Briatore says a new espionage saga involving the Renault team is in the FIA's hands.

It was reported recently that, upon switching from McLaren to Renault, engineer Phil Mackereth took with him three disks of technical information about the Woking based team.

In an interview with Sport Auto, Renault Team Principal Briatore played down the comparison with the Stepneygate saga.

"What happened is what happens probably all the time," he said. "It cannot be controlled. I don't want to say anything, because it is now something for the FIA to judge."

But Briatore suggests that the information was only leaked to the media in the midst of McLaren's deep involvement in the spy saga.

"They made noises that something with us is not right. Why did they say that to the media? If they have proof then they should just give it to the FIA.
"We have given everything that we know about the case to the FIA and also to McLaren," he added.

Briatore declined to answer whether he feels compassion for Ron Dennis after his team was fined $100m and kicked out of the 2007 constructors' title.

"I don't want to play the judge," said the Italian. "If Ron Dennis believes firmly that he did nothing wrong, then he should appeal.

"I can only comment on what I see. Last year McLaren were nowhere, and now they drive for the title. I am not the one who can judge from where this performance jump came from.

"This was not a case of an engineer carrying a bit of data from another team. If you read the detail of the World Council meetings, it becomes clear that a constant flow of information took place over a period of months," Briatore said.

Flavio, eh? That's the one who pumped Heidi Klum and dumped her pregnant? Man of high moral standards, I say.

Bigest crooks were always first to throw the stone. Always.
