After seeing how professionally Ron Dennis and the whole maclaren team was at the Italian Grand Prix my respect for the man doubled. Of all the men in the sport there have been, he strikes as the one that is proud of being honest and not employing dirty tactics to win. His team is being accused of being cheaters and still he comes out and does the job getting a 1-2 over ferrari in the home race.
LOVE IT!
Speaking as a McLaren fan, I'm very proud of what the team has achieved this season when you consider the very many outside influences and the Alonso-Hamilton saga which have placed so much strain on the team. Everybody at Woking and Brixworth, from the management to the engineers to the production staff to cleaners have all done a wonderful job in developing the car which, by its fundamental design, didn't look like being particularly strong over these few races. Ron Dennis' leadership of the team over all the highs and lows in its history has been excellent. Regardless of what happens on Thursday, Ron Dennis should not step down from his position and everybody involved with McLaren (except that tosser Coughlan) have a lot to be very proud of.
EDIT: It would be nice to see Alonso acknowledge that from time to time.
