Starting this weekend, SV is to replace SS at Toro Rosso. Good move for him or should he have waited for a better team's offer? He can certainly gain lots of racing experience during the next races, but most likely it'll be at the back of the grid all the time, duking it out with Super Aguri and Spyker, maybe Honda and Red Bull. How frustrating must that be after having tasted the feeling of racing in the 'Ultimate Driving Machine'?

The deal is only for the remainder of the season so it's a good opportunity for him to impress the powers that be. He's in a short term contract with nothing to lose, which is better than being a test driver at any team. Ask any driver. I know what I would rather do.

But Berger told the news agency Sport-Informations-Dienst: "Sebastian is in his twelfth year as a Red Bull man. He has a long past and hopefully also a long future with us."

Berger clarified that it meant Vettel would race for Toro Rosso 'probably also next year'.

"He is an extremely intelligent and engaged driver," Berger continued, "who already knows Formula One well through BMW. Therefore he is the ideal man for us."

Vettel will be there next season no doubt. Liuzzi will almost certainly be going if Vettel outdoes him for the remainder of the season.

I'd much rather it were Bourdais though.

He'll be there next year if Liuzzi goes.

Any idea what Scott Speed will do next? I'm Varsha and the boys from Speed will have plenty of comments about it.

I'm in Weihai, China right now, and there is no coverage of the race. I'm DVRing the practice, qualifying, and race this weekend so I can watch it all on Thursday, when I return home. I'll probably stay away from this board from Sunday to Thursday so I don't get too much information before I watch it. :)

Speed's name belies his ability. It was time to go. Liuzzi isn't up to standard either. Vettel is still learning the car but within a few races I've no doubt he will come good and leave Liuzzi in his wake.

Vettel is a very young driver and I think it's better for him to begin with a little team such as Toro Rosso. Moreover, Liuzzi is not the fastest driver on earth, and Vettel is considered as one of the best driver of his generation. Therefore, I think that in two or three races, Vettel will be faster than Liuzzi, or at least as fast as him. And it's a good thing for a young promising driver like Vettel not to get run over by his team mate.

As I said, Vettel is very young, he's only 19, and I'm sure that in two or three years, he will drive for a better team, BMW for example. But first, he has to learn Formula 1, and Toro Rosso is a perfect team for this. He'll be able to progress quietly, without pressure.

That's key for a young person in any sport. Many have jumped at the opportunity to join big teams be it in football or whatever and crumpled under the pressure, never to reach their potential.
