Prince aka the artist formerly known as Prince

A musical genius with some iffy beliefs.
The icon of post-racial music.
Words can't describe the loss for the world of music.
RIP :(

I can't say I was a fan of Prince or TAFKAP or symbol, but I do appreciate his contribution to music and pop culture in general. This year so far has been a terrible year for deaths of music and movie legends. :(

A good friend of mine toured with him a few years ago. Said he was very difficult to work with, many musicians have used the term tyrant BUT they all loved his committment to his fans. Most big touring bands have essentially 1 set list and may throw the odd song in but Prince understood that many fans would travel and see multiple concerts so he tried to make each one as unique as pissible so that the fans wouldn't walk out saying that they had just seen a repeat. Sad about his addiction to pain killers, it is an epidemic. He was an incredibly talented professional.
