So Hamilton couldn't make it five poles in a row, can Rosberg turn pole position into a win to turn the tide on Hamilton? Great quail from Carlos Sainz for fifth place, Ricciardo also starts behind team mate Kyvat, Ferrari best of the rest as expected, but look further adrift of Mercedes than previous races. Improvement for McLaren with both cars getting into Q2, but still well off the overall pace, maybe one of the McLaren duo can score a point.

Great quail from Carlos Sainz
:hehe:

It took me a while to figure out what you were on about.... then I realized I wrote quail... I blame that on the Surface Pro 3 auto correct. :banghead:

I only saw the last 3 minutes of qualifying but well done Rosberg. I heard that Kimi opted to not go with the updated aero pkg, wonder if he is regretting that decision now.

Raikkonen had a set of mediums ruined by the tire warmers. As well he has gone back to the Bahrain set-up.

Ok race, not a lot of excitment other than poor tire mngt decision by Ferrari and a few poor pit stops with Hamilton. Congrats to Rosberg, was in total control from the start. I hope that the new tracks that are to be built will have many more opportunities for overtaking. More races like these past 2 and Bottas may just secure a seat at Ferrari.

I'm kinda disappointed to see Vettel losing out in the pit-stops, I would have liked to see the Mercedes duo split up, but Mercedes are clearly way ahead in the development game. Good solid performance from Bottas again to hold off fellow Finn and elder statesman Raikkonen. I'm surprised that Sainz was allowed to keep his ninth place given his crashi-bashi with Kvyat and making the move by going off track, but inconsistent stewardship is the M/O of the FIA. And Crashtor lived upto his nickname by breaking his rear wing battling with his team mate early on.
