Maurice Hamilton Almanac 2015

Pretty funny reading over on ESPNF1 with Maurice Hamilton's 2015 F1 Almanac. Here's a sample of some of the many gems.
McLaren team stay in best suites in Shanghai Hilton. Button gets room in Travel Lodge by the airport.

Ferrari receives an extra £36m because their cars are a nice shade of red.

Kimi Raikkonen suddenly realises Fernando Alonso is not in the other Ferrari. Kimi says: "I thought he was a bit slow this year and Magnussen was bloody quick in that McLaren. Let's wait and see."

UN Ambassador for The Winless visits Maranello and presents boxed video set of the FIA F1 World Championship 2000-2004

After having taken so much heat last year, Bernie has decided to drop the ridiculous double points rule in favor of a half points rule for all GPs except for the Abu Dhabi season finale which will will award full points.

Ferrari claim white smoke emerging from engine test house is not a turbo failure but the signal that another new team principal has been chosen.

To further increase popularity, F1 Strategy Group says cars must blow up and have wheels fall off. Red Bull say that's not fair because Lotus already have experience.

BBC's Eddie Jordan says this is exactly what he would have predicted going forward but didn't. Without doubt.

I think Kimi will turn up at the Ferrari factory and wonder if he is in the right office as he is the only one left in the team from last year.

Rosberg vs Hamilton 2!!!!!

This time, it's personal...

In other news, Ricciardo will be winning still, McLaren pose the closet threat to Mercedes and Ferrari, unfortunately, still struggle :(

More seriously:

I don't think Redbull will be anywhere, or Vettel wouldn't have left for Ferrari.

Ferrari will be poor I think, I guess the focus for them will be on the future right from the start of the season.

McLaren I think are the big unknown, maybe 2nd behind Mercedes? Maybe issues this year but far better in 2016?

Mercedes - can't see anyone else getting reasonably close.

Didn't know where else to appropriately put this but found it interesting. Kimi and Jenson are the most popular drivers in the UK, who'd have thunk it. :hehe:

This is a F1 Fanatic poll which would have a heavy UK bias, but the numbers are very interesting and does explain a lot when you read comments or forums as to why people have the opinions they do.

Confirms again that Lewis is bigger than the Ferrari team, in terms of followers, we discussed this ages ago, but always good to have the data

Also Lewis is the only top driver bigger than his team, Button is not bigger than McLaren, and so is probably poipular because of them, Alonso was not bigger than ferrari, althought Seb is a fraction of Alonso.

I imagined Williams to be higher on that list. I am amazed that Mclaren was such a landslide.

Also Surprised that K-Mag is so low as he is/was a Mclaren.

Silver Arrows indeed. According to Ominicorse the W06 livery will be chromed proper not that horrible pewter paint job. Might as well since McLaren no longer has a use for it.

WoW!! Kimi and Button are BOTH bigger than Hamilton?? In the UK??
Go figure, eh?

That's what I said! He's won nearly more championships and more races than both of them combined and still it's not enough. Poor guy, that's the price you pay for being the first black F1 driver. Jesse Owens, Jackie Robinson, Lewis Hamilton. The first black guy always has to be 250% better than a good white guy in order for them to be accepted. I say one more championship and it should do it. Thankfully it's not like that outside of the UK.

That's my 2015 prediction.

Why are you making this about Hamilton's background?
Kimi is popular because, well Kimi is Kimi and he's unique.
Button obviously has a different fan base.

Why does that make either set of fans racist?
