Or thats how I see it, Raikkonen has won more GPs than anyone else this year and is way behind Hamilton in third. Monaco really stuffed him up, you need to finish to win a championship now, eight wins and ten retirements no longer does it.

Raikonnen probably thinks he's still in the days of 11 best scores count and 2nd place only got 6 points.

Montezemolo had exactly the same argument earlier in the season - Massa had won two races and Hamilton hadn't won any and yet Hamilton was leading. Montezemolo argued that the championship didn't reward winning because if it did, Massa would have been top.

Blame Ferrari for being boring winners with a herd and herder for drivers.

Lewis has been on the podium in EVERY race Kimi has had some bad races. Lewis is doing a better job so far this year.

i believe kimis main loss of championship points came at spain when he retired that is one of the reasons he isnt close to Hamilton in the championship really

Very true, only FA and MS have more straight podiums in their careers, but then LH has only been in 9 races

Yep, the points scores need to be changed. to reward the winners, although i want mclaren to win championships.
In July edition of F1 Racing it was pointing this out saying that drivers just settle for second place and dont go all out for the win. p[

If there were 12 points for a win, we'd see a lot more overtaking.

Agree in a way, but this season we haven't really seen any 'surprise' winners. It just seems to be which one of four will win, and that doesn't help the championship.
