Whilst we are on the subject. Can a current driver change his number before the following season?


I don't think a driver can change his/her number. Ever.

Unless he becomes world champion :P
And what about retired drivers coming back, but somebody else has already taken their old number??? :eek: Maybe the solution would be a ghost number with just an outline for those zombies... :hehe:


I'm sure they said retired drivers numbers would also get retired......?

That was what I thought. Especially the rate the lower teams go through drivers. But thats what I read.

Maybe it was just world champions, and not common ilk like Maldonado ?
