How does Bridgestone get paid? Is it a per-tire fee they get from each team? Or do they get a certain percentage of the TV pool money? Or do they just eat it in hopes the PR gives them back more than they spend? Anybody knows?

I cant speak for every team, but we arranged to run Bridgestones at no cost in exchange for a small sponsorship on the cars and to make factory for our sports cars till 2010.

im Sure having the F1 image would help sell alot of tyres across the world. not to mention some F1 constructors road car ties having Bridgestone tyres when they leave the showroom.
Im sure the teams have to pay for the tyres as they are a supplier but being the only supplier it would now be even across the field.

bridgestone dont get paid, simple as that.

they make their money from road tyres, not motor racing, this is just a very successful marketing tool.
