I was reading this http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/26464195 and thought it would be quite nice for us to have a place to collate some interesting facts and figures about F1.

For example although Germany has 11 WDCs, they have only ever had 2 champions.

EDIT: Links are not images, silly.

And there's yet to be a German win a WDC in a German car :-)

Base in Brackley

Team boss is British

Hardly a 'German team', just carrying a German brand name.

What team are we talking about here, the two Germans to win WDCs have driver for either British, Italian or Austrian British teams.

If you're talking about Rosberg (Assuming you are) he's never won a WDC... Yet....

I think Hams point is, there isnt a German car for a German to win in anyway - because Spanky said it is yet to happen...

Only Jody Scheckter (1973) and Damon Hill (1993 and 1994) have raced with the number 0

What national anthem do they play for Mercedes and Rosberg? Case closed.

McLaren (British) with DC (Brit/Scot) and Mika (Finnish) led by Ron Dennis (British)

More than a decade long partnership: DC: 0 titles, Mika: 2 titles

Thus proving this case cannot be closed. You're leading with the first post to say Mercedes would prefer to back Rosberg to his first title. Doesn't make sense to pay Lewis more money, and support the driver without a championship to his name. This isn't Ferrari.

Perhaps you are simply too paranoid. My post has zero to do with Lewis.

The OP talked about "German" WDCs.
I then pointed out (as an interesting F1 stat in the interesting F1 stat thread) that in all the years of F1 racing and with so many German teams and drivers there is yet to be a German driver winning a WDC driving a German car. No mention of Lewis, not even a mention of his nationality.

Following that, you claimed Mercedes was hardly a German team. I then pointed out that, at each GP that Mercedes wins, they traditionally play the national anthem of the winning team, and for Mercedes (surprise surprise) they play the German national anthem.

Ooh. My bad then. Though this isn't the first time you brought the point of German car and German driver, previously stating that they do have an impetus to back Rosberg for the title. I thought you were carrying it over here. :)

I didn't even know you could have that number.

I want a negative one!

An F1 car fully breaking is compared to a regular car fully braking and going through a brick wall at 300kmph.

I think Hill got that number because the WDC in the previous year waved goodbye to F1.
