Most teams will be using the McLaren supplier display unit embedded in the drivers steering wheel. Here's a neat video of what the driver can see ..... I just want to know when they get the time to watch it all :hehe:

This is stupid! Why not have a speedometer. with the rev dial, and cool graphics to make driving fun. Seeing the dial go up is just cooler. This crap will make a lap boring.

I just want to know what information is being sent back to McLaren via this little device?
Paranoid? Nope!! Suspicious? Yup!! Been there, done that!!

No, that seems like something only Ferrari would do

Do you reckon whenever it detects a McLaren as the car behind it starts to read "Engine temperature too high, slow down!"

Or for Lewis's car it occasionally flashes up with "Please come back Lewis, we've got Ron back!"

With McLaren's performance they had to do something? Otherwise how would the rest of the teams compete knowing Bernie changes the points allocation for the last race to suit Ferrari?

Looks kinda lame to me, it's like they've take a page out of one of the latest Papago (GPS) machines. My GPS has a very similar 'graph' look when it's searching for signal after reset.

Let me get this straight... ONLY Ferrari gets double points during the last race? :nono:
Even if Ecclestone came up with a harebrained idea, I'm sure he doesn't have the
"power" to make it real, in fact, it was given UNANIMOUS consent:
Double points at final race tops new FIA regulations

In an effort to prolong the Championship race of a Formula One season, the F1 Strategy Group and the Formula One Commission have announced that double points will be awarded at the final race of the season, from 2014 onwards.

The decision, which is just one of a raft of changes decided unanimously in Paris today is aimed at forcing teams and drivers to maintain their progression and performance in to the final lap of the season...

If you need a scapegoat, you might take a look at a particular "drinks company" team!
