They've suffered him too long. If I were his boss, the second he got back to the garage, on foot again, after that pathetic display, I'd let him know that his a$$ crack has already graced a Toyota for the last time! I hope not to see him in France!

Yea he's no Michael, who I did not like very much from a sportsman point of view, but I respected the hell out of him! Ralf makes more money that 2/3s of the grid and there is no way he has delivered. Jarno is the man at Toyota! 8)

Ralf's got no motivation whatsoever, if he really wants to stay in F1 he should do what Nelson Piquet did in 1990 and get paid on how good his performance was, this really worked out for Piquet when he moved to Benetton in 1990 after 2 crap years with Lotus and payed dividends for he won the final 2 races of 1990 and finished 3rd overall in the Championship behind Prost and Senna.

Yes hopefully it's goodbye to little Schuey, A man I never liked, a dodgey driver at best, but for all his Medriocrity the man somehow has managed to leach 10's of millions out of Toyota. But as they say a fool is easily parted with his money and anybody idiot enough to hire Ralf deserves all he gets,,,,, well he gets Ralf, I mean even the name, RALF!!! sounds like a sick dog barking.

heres a question, would he be on the F1 grid at all if not for his surname and being bruder to Michael?

sure he won races and has shown speed etc but there are a tonne of drivers out there in the same boat in lesser series that havent gotten the break. i dont think we would be talking about Ralf if he wasnt Michaels brother.!

He won Formula Nippon, at the time that was the one of the best ways of getting into F1

still if he wasnt Michaels brother would he have gotten a look in? why havent many other Japanese forumula nippon winners etc had the same path? most have to come to europe like Sato

Yeah your right, The name talks louder than the deeds.

Ralf Firman won Nippon, Eddie Irvine did too, several others in F1 that I can't remember too. Strangely not sure Sato even competed in it.

Katayama and de Rosa too. Ralf looks even more out of his depth and the way Trulli perfromed yesterday, I could see Toyota waving goodbye and hello Montagny.

Ralf was pretty good up until about 2003, and then that was that.

I don't know if you guys on that side of the pond have this in your vernacular, but over here ralf or ralph is a synonym for vomit, as in "I think I'm gonna ralf!". It's also what we attempt to say during a burp, to maximize the comedic value of the burp. Sorry to all you people named Ralf or Ralph.
Mr Firman, I believe is spelt ralph. Not 100% sure on that. It's Germans that use an F.
Good until 2003? I think the mostly brilliant Williams BMW masked his incompetence. Hill was better than Ralf in the Jordan. That shows how easy it is to be better than Ralf.
