31 years ago today we lost a great driver - Salut Gilles.
For me, Gilles was the driver that so influenced my love of F1. I grew up watching and adoring his driving. What I learned about him as I grew and read more, simply made me appreciate him even more. Whilst he doesn't have the records or titles of a Schumacher, he was none the less a great driver IMO. He was simply unfortunate enough to drive for Ferrari at a time when we were simply not dominant and, generally had inferior cars to our then opposition.
