Now, now, boyzzzz! The Forum Queen is back! So, behave ok? Or not

Just had oral surgery - quite a 'nice' reality check after the weekend, don't ya think? :(
On the upside however, I'm all buzzed by the cool drugs I got prescribed for my pain :D8)

rather unbiased view in that report  McLaren dull and boring  first person to hear that about the maca in person, even all my friends who are Sicilian Ferrari fans that come to the GP with me love the Mclaren livery! new Ferrari red? its not as orange as it used to be but its not new at all, quite the same as the old Ferrari red they used in the 80s and 90s as i remember seeing as a kid on the streets of Adelaide

Uh, no bud! I wanted to be excited about the McLaren livery because it's different. However, when you see it in front of you, it's not that exciting. Maybe I had too high expectations.
As for Ferrari: it IS very new and different. The hue is different plus using new technology they incorporated some metallic sheen that has never been part of a Ferrari livery. And in the Montreal sunshine, it looked just gorgeous - if only their performance was as good as their looks...

i always thought the McLaren chrome looked better in person than on TV i think the TV doesnt do it justice if anything. each to their own :P well atleast Ferrari have gone back to their roots with their Red, but by looking at the pictures from race Austrlia to Canada youre right, it looks as though Ferrari have changed their paint job again, it is a more dark red with a metallic finish which would suggest they have added chrome paint to give it that look. something which alot of drivers do to their helmets!

Ferrari have for the last couple of GPs run their cars in a metallic red. It's the original scarlet Rosso Ferrari but with a touch of metallic, same as Kawasaki have done with their green on the bikes.

Every time I logged on here there were always posts from DD, which I quite enjoyed reading. But in the last few days he has been conspicuous by his absence.

Is he all right?

Great report from Canada DD. love Montreal and think its probably the best place for GP in the Americas. I really appreciate what you mean when you say TV does not do the experience justice! The sounds of those engines is a must hear at least once to really get the sense of awesome power on display. Were you at the hairpin? I usually try for Silver 11 at the back of the senna curves (turn one). You can see down the strait and a great view of the overtaking into turn one! :D I have also been on the front straight but unless you are up high its a head turning nightmare as the cars move way to fast for you to keep up! You wind up mostly watching the big screens.

Interesting that the Ferraris look better than the McLarens in person as its just the opposite on TV!

Thanks for reporting!
