I just remembered 1 of the drivers tweeted a picture of all the drivers cars in the parking lot. They all had cars by their teams engine supplier. Apart from the HRT boys who had complete sheds

I'm curious if the drivers are contractually obligated to not drive a rival manufacturer's vehicle in their private life for the duration of their employment. Could you imagine lewis rolling around in a ferrari, or alonso rolling around in an mp4-12c?!:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Well yeah, they are contractually obligated....that's why Alonso made the headlines by angering Flavio when he drove up to the Renault factory in a Mercedes at the back end of 2006? And Kimi snapped up a Ferrari as soon as he left McLaren saying it's 'a car I always wanted'.

If I'm not mistaken, Lewis drives a 4WD Mercedes, looks like a hummer but I can't recall exactly what model it is. He said it in Top Gear once and Clarkson was all "WTF".

I think I saw Vettel driving the Infiniti car. :D
But, to be honest, let's all remember those crazy speeding tickets and penalties for Michael and Ralf Schumacher, Montoya and few others back in the day. All company's cars! :hehe:

I remember an article I read last year.Petrov drives a Renault Megane(No wonder why!) and the interesting part:Di Resta said he doesn't own a car

It's not surprising really. I remember Trulli saying he NEVER drives on public roads because they are too dangerous!

And we think F1 drivers have balls of steel....bullsh*t! They're riding around in state of the art technology, designed to protect them from all sides, and if anything happens, there's an ambulance with the best doctors standing by less than a couple of kilometres away. :hehe:
