I wonder what's going on here?. Eddie Cue, head if Internet software at apple has joined the board at FerrRi. I wonder if they're going to sponsor Ferrari? Or maybe invent a touch screen for all those buttons on the steering wheel. Imagine trying to hit the right one of those with driving gloves on. I'm constantly opening things I don't want to and I've got tiny fingers!

iFerrari now using iOS6, would of won the race but Apple maps got them lost so they are still wandering around New York looking for the Austin Circuit.

I read about that a couple of days ago but my reaction was that it's probably got nothing to do with F1.

It looks as if it doesn't involve F1 car itself at all.If it does what would they actually do with it though, why would they need 3G or 4G connection anyway??

Massa's getting quicker and quicker, they'd need 4G to speed up communications in telling him to back off whenever he starts making Alonso sweat.

But sponsors don't always have anything to do with F1. The drivers don't drive round in Hugo Boss suits, they don't make in car calls or text on their vodaphone (aha! They provided McLaren with thought transference mobiles, which they tested on Lewis..........to their dismay :hehe: )
But apple could just be going to sponsor Ferrari, it would suit the image. And apples are red.

I thought Ferrari has had a long-standing relationship with Acer (world's largest PC manufacturer). And I don't think apple is really into "sponsoring". I just can't imagine their logo jumbled up with a dozen other corporate logos. Doesn't really fit their image or marketing plan. Like others have said, I'm inclined to believe this had nothing to do with F1, rather some sort of technical partnership for the road cars.

But, then again, they've been doing a lot of weird stuff the last year or so, so who knows.

Acer is no. 4 at best - if you count in all the iPads as computers (which they essentially are), then the numbers look different again...

Hmm... must have changed a lot recently. I wonder if they're including the other manufacturers they own like Gateway and eMachine.

Anyway, point still stands; Ferrari already has a computer sponsor.
