i know that in a monaco grand prix (maybe 84-86?) to cars sponsored by the Candy (brabham?) did something like that...i have to check my videos...

This is oddly spooky. Right after posting this thread I went off for a drive. On my return I had a close call. I was making a hard left hander and another vehicle failed to observe my turning indicators and nearly collided with me. I didn't think there had been contact and continued on my merry way. To my surprise when I arrived at my destination I found a 3" scrape, not enough to scrape off the paint but just the surface, It buffed out.

I'm mounting onboard cameras cause I don't want to miss another one of these incidents.
