[What's Burning?]

I can't believe that with all the Star Trek content littered all over this forum, there wasn't an official thread for all this ST.

So in honor of gay pride, I'll start off by linking to It's okay to be Takei. Live long and prosper.

Since we've been told off for talking about Star Trek in an F1 thread (darwin dali), I thought I'd start a dedicated Star Trek thread. Woohoo!!

Anyway, it started off with Jabberwocky asking if 1701 (in my username) was a Star Trek reference, to which I replied it is. We were having fun and then someone (darwin dali) came along and spoilt it. Not to worry, here is a thread for all us 'Trekkies'.

Which are your favourite films, series, episodes and characters?

For me, there are too many to name them all, but if I had to be specific...:

Favourite film: The Voyage Home
Favourite series: The Next Generation
Favourite episode: Not sure about favourite episode, but I like many of them
Favourite character: Captain Jun-Luc Picard

So there you have it, a bit more about my favourite parts of Star Trek. There are many more, so I'll chime in again once I've had a think.

er indoors bought me all the Star Wars boxset (bluray) for Star Wars day (4th May) this year bless her.

Serenity and Firefly was also good. shame it got canned.

I'm also a big Trek fan. I'm stoked that they're remastering TNG for bluray. I got the sampler disc a few months ago with three episodes, and they look and sound FANTASTIC. Definitely check it out.

I'm a self confessed Trekkie (surprised?); I watch at least a couple of episodes a week on Netflix; they have everything from TOS to Enterprise, in order I like Voyager, TNG, Enterprise, DS9 and TOS. I have TNG, Voyager and all the first ten movies on DVD, which Nemesis being my favourite of the first 10 movies.

perhaps they go hand in hand... you know the technology thing. Patrick Stewart is a huge F1 fan.

Interesting. I haven't heard anyone else that likes Voyager over TOS and DS9, or Nemesis over the other first 10 films.
