Please understand, I am in no means a conspiracy theorist and I have just hailed Alonso as the most likely contender to take out the WDC crown this year... (Although that will probably change next race...)

However, every Ferrari Pit Stop is perfect. I know there was some controversy around the pit stop wheel guns earlier this year... But I'm still under the impression, judging on Ferrari's consistent fast pit times that they might be using equipment that gives them about 2 or 3 tenths advantage over the other teams in the pits... Could even be up to half a second to a second quicker....

Has anyone else noticed this... Is it something worth looking into... Or am I just being a silly old goose with nothing better to do except find conspiracies?

I am not usually a conspiracy theorist but it just seems something is slightly fishy with Ferrari's pit stops....

LOL exactly....I always thought one of the funniest sights I've seen in F1 was Massa in Singapore with the fuel trailing behind him like a huge anaconda and thought Ferrari's traffic light system was a braindead innovation as they've run out of ideas.

Little did I know, 4 years later McLaren would come out with their own sh*t...after witnessing that major incident which likely cost Massa his Championship.

I think they used sensors on the wheel guns which indicate when the nut has been tightened, so the person with the traffic light isn't waiting for the mechanics to raise their hands, but just looking down the pit lane to see if any cars are coming (have a vague recollection that they use sensors for that too).

That doesn't account for the smooth motion though.

Last couple of yrs Red Bull and Mclaren have had very good stops. Ferrari were always hit or miss.... Seems they spent some good time going over it, and came up with some interesting stuff. Like how their jackman is on the side.... The traffic light etc, just shows they are putting their heads into it. Even their stop at monza with alonso vs button 2 yrs ago caused some good comments....

It is beautiful to see too; pretty amazing job.
