"Nothing in the world could make me return," Montoya told the Colombian newspaper El Tiempo.

He said: "In NASCAR I am ten thousand times happier than I ever was there."

Montoya, 31, also revealed that he was offered a ride at Red Bull Racing.

"I told them that I would have to be crazy to go back."

That's because he didn't have the temperment for F1...

I remember Ron Dennis being so confident at the start of the season, saying he knew how to get the best out of the columbian considering all his experience with dealing with the fiery Senna...

How wrong he was...

Alonso is also suffering under Ron's leadership, maybe Alonso should goto a team that knows how to look after it's drivers.

I think Ron should only be allowed to look after actual robots, I'm sure in that big McLaren technology centre they could build a few robotic drivers, perfect for Ron...

They could speak in numbers...or Ronspeak... :D

Wait a minute, did I just read Ron comparing Montoya to Senna? It's time for you to leave F1 now, Ronnie, your brain's already retired.

Glad he's happy, he always seemed slightly out of sorts in F1. I think I might finally have a reason to watch a NASCAR race

I do. Especially when he was pushing the likes of MS.

It wasn't very often, but when it happened it was real value.

How often do we have the good fortune to see drivers really ON IT these days.

Like him or not, he made F1 very entertaining and worth watching, especially when his car is anywhere near a guy named Micheal. With a exception to a few drivers out there, most need to be in a package that is best suited to their driving style. Ruben, Kimi, Alonso, Ralf, etc.. they are having a difficult time adapting to their new cars and tires, and this is what happened to JPM @ McLaren. He proved that he can drive the Williams, outshined his team mates, and pushing it to the limits. Unfortunately, the McLaren wasn't the car for him. Now that he's got his sponsors and money coming in from Nascar, the last thing he wants to do is to uproot his family from Miami to Europe again, best of luck to him.

I hated him when he drove for Mclaren as much as I loved watching him drive the Williams.

I wish he'd stayed in F1... he'd be challenging for the lead along with the others!

Monto is fantastic talent that F1 has now lost, I have watch him a few times now in NASCAR and he has the same raw, hot-headed nature in him that he had in F1. NASCAR don't know how lucky they really are to have him.
