I going to say it, because some are thinking it. Not to be crass or unfeeling. However, for me, I found if I put voice to eerie feelings, they seem to not come to fruition.

We all hear that these accidents come in three. Weldon, Simoncelli, are the first two.

India, Like las Vegas, is a new venue and we do not really know what to expect, although it is a Tilke track with the latest safety measures put in.

I am asking the powers that be to stay away from F1.

There....

I can understand your rather macabre take on it, and i dont think its callous,

But F1 has amazing safety standards, and 17 years since a driver has died pays tribute to that, hopefully Simoncelli is the last for a long time, but we all signed up to love motorsport on the dotted line, and to watch the amazing spectacle that is.....

I think we all cope with these tragedies in different ways. Some of us are shocked and some of us are angry, but mostly sad.. I can do without a third in any motor sports arena.. We do get lulled into a false sense of security, and then that one freak accident makes for possitive changes in Saftey measures or that knee jerk reaction of trying to prevent something from happening thats impossible to prevent.

How can you be harsh on something that doesn't exist but DD has a good point. What sort of God would happily take the life of a young guy when there are numerous really evil people worldwide which live long and very comfortable lives and never get any comeuppance? Some God.

As for things happening in threes, I wouldnt be worried. Best not to live your life on ifs and buts and superstition. You'd never leave your house!

BTW, my comment was more lighthearted if anything, hence the big grinning face....

I dont even want to think about that!!!....the 'in threes'. I think with motorsport it tends to go in two's and we're done now  (Not really into religion, the praying smilie was an insurance gesture, just in case im wrong)

Things don't happen in 3s. Those of us that know about the old wives tale will subconsciuosly group events into groups of 3. If you consider the two incidents you mention in the first post to be a pair(if you ignore anything else that happened between them) then you could add anything of your choice either before or after that pair, to complete the group of 3.

No ones needing you to go mental. Some folk believe in it, some don't.

Not quite like that is it andrew, you ANTI- religous people yet again had a go at me for what was purely a figure of speech in an emotional post. Ridiculously pathetic.
