Just as it says...

The news is starting to become dominated by Colonel Gaddafi again. Why? Apparently he's been captured, with some sources claiming he's been killed!

The story is still developing....

A local ambulance driver said he see his dead body, but i wouldn't say his say so was conclusive :hehe: If he's dead it's great news for the people who have suffered under him for many years.I would say that's good enough reason, and the fact we have been helping the rebels in their mission.

Certainly sounds like he's eithner captured or dead, from news repots coming out.

The reports seem to be true, although the exact details have yet to emerge. Looks like he was found hiding in a hole, just like Saddam Hussein, and shot when he tried to escape.

It was bound to happen sooner or later. Given the number of the so-called "rebels" who are strangely extremely well armed for what are basically a bunch of civilians along with Britain and France sticking their respective oars in, alarm bells would be ringing if Colonel G wasn't found.

The really sickening thing is the reports of what the "rebels" have been doing with the folks they've captured. By the sounds of it they are every bit as bad as what they have overthrown!

Shame! He was a great man!

Tell me about it! The world will now descend into weeks of mourning. :crying:

Of course they won't, at least not openly! The guy has been made to look like a maniacle latter day Adolf Hitler. I guess the oil will ease the loss.

I like how they dragged his lifeless blood-stained body in front of the cameras.

I don't think they liked him very much :hehe:

The Libyan reaction that I saw tonight should put your mind at rest. They hated him...wonder why? Nothing to do with oil, just relief that he's gone. We worry about oil, they worry about rights.

So this battle fought evil with corruption, who cares. He's dead. Job done.

Unless you two are suggesting the last 35 some years about him being a total tyrant and dooshbag is a lie.

Who knows, I never been there? For sure, I don't think he is no worse than some so-called civilized nations. China are not great on their human rights record but it's ok. We get cheap :censored: made over there for next to nothing to sell at over-inflated prices in the West. I can't help but think that Louie Armstrong had a great sense of irony when he sang What a Wonderful World.

A while ago, there was a report on BBC Scotland about the Lokerbie Bombing and the release of Abdelbaset al-Megrahi with interviews from the families of the British victims and American victims and the difference was shocking. The Americans interviewed were convinced he was guilty and were baying for his blood. The British families were the exact opposite. They just wanted to know what really happened and get some sort of closure. It was a British family who were heavily involved in his release. What does that tell you? The British media is pretty anti-Lybia so I hate to think what the US media are like!

I keep an open mind and refuse to jump on the bandwagon of badmouthing certain regeimes, countries and political leaders just because the national media tell me to, especially when we see what gets done by Western countries and their political leaders. The real questions are which Arab country is the next one to kick off and what is causing all these troubles in country after country?
