Has anyone noticed that Virgin Racing never gets any airtime? I know they are crap and generally last but Lotus and Force India get shown frequently ??

Lotus and Force India are significantly ahead, that's why.

Mind you, even Lotus don't get that much airtime either. HRT too. Those teams, including Virgin are at the back, and have little impact on the race, unless they're being lapped by faster cars.

The scraps in the midfield between Force India, Sauber, Toro Rosso, Renault and Williams are often really good fun to watch so they get much more airtime.

Red Bull, McLaren, Ferrari and also Mercedes mix it up at the very front, chasing the wins and championships, so they obviously get the most airtime, as the most important stuff gets dealt out at the front.

Virgin may get more airtime one day in the future, if they improve!

There's no point showing F1 teams that are posting slower lap times than the leading Formula Nippon teams.

If HRT and Virgin ever decide to improve they will get plenty of TV coverage.

The most airtime that Virgin has ever got was when Alonso was held up by Di Grassi at the 2010 Monaco GP for a few laps, that was good viewing, Alonso was getting pretty angry at the time. :hehe:
