Ive followed this case form the outset-as i guess most people have. I cannot believe she's got off on a technicality. She's changed her story many times. She's tried to blame an innocent man and just about ruined him and then there's the staged break in. Just shows what money can do.

None of us were in the court room so none of us know for sure what exactly happened. All we know is what is written in the press and what has been said in various soundbites from the defense and prosecussion. Ultimately, all we can do is have faith in the Italian legal system and hope they arrived at the correct conclusion. As far as I know the Italian legal system runs on innocent until proven guilty theory and she has been proven innocent, however given that the investigation is on-going if it turns out she is guilty then it is likely that this ruling will be reversed.

Not being familiar with the Italian legal system, and additionally only being aware of this case from a periphery, meaning only what I've read here and there over the years this had dragged on in the media. This should be an embarrassment to the Italian legal system, just as the OJ Simpson case was an embarrassment to the American legal system.

That being said, when a murder conviction is concerned, the American perspective is reasonable doubt and there have been too many irregularities on both the prosecution and defense sides for this to have been allowed proceed as it did.

I think it was a huge f-up by the system(Im not saying its only the Italian system that does that, only that it was in this case). And I dont believe she's been cleared as innocent, only insufficient grounds to prosecute-something wierd like that. then she was whisked out of the country before the prosecution could organise taking it to the Italien high court. There is no extraditrion treaty in place between USA and Italy, so what chance of justice being served now? Someone killed that girl and all the evidence points in one direction. And now the Knox girl stands to make millions. Thats sick!

From what I can tell, barely any substantial evidence exists to even place her in the location, never mind implicate her in the crime. That Guede was involved and responsible for the sexual assault and murder seems about the only thing backed up by anything significant. The Italians have shown themselves to be a bit of a joke with the handling of the entire case, though. The amount of mistakes that have been made which may have prevented proving, one way or the other, what happened is shocking.

There was LOADS of evidence. Only the DNA was questioned none of the other stuff.

What kinds of evidence was that? Physical evidence or circumstantial?

If there was loads of admissable evidence she would still be locked up.

You reckon? Thats what Kerchers family are struggling to understand. Knox said she heard Meredith scream, then she said that was said under duress, then next day she wrote five pages of evidence saying the same thing. then she changed it and said she wasnt there she was a Silettio(the boyfriends house )watching videos he downloaded on his laptop. Evidence-no downloads on his laptop. Thats just one.

I find it sad that most of the talk is about Knox and Meredith Kercher has hardly been mentioned on the news the past few days. I wonder what really happened, but I guess no-one will ever know (apart from whoever was there). If Knox is innocent it's awful that she lost 4 years of her life, if she is guilty it is equally awful that she is free and will be able to make pots of money out of it. Either way it must be so hard for Meredith's family.

I think the Italians are notorious for corruption. They initially branded Amanda as some sort of witch, which immediately made me suspicious. The whole case was a joke from the beginning. They had zero DNA evidence on Amanda, but loads on the guy who they actually arrested for the crime.

My ultimate nightmare is being arrested for a crime that I did not commit, so I might be a tad biased on this one.
