Hello all :)

Interested in sim racing (rfactor, GTR2 etc) or like to play racing games online? Please check this out...

United Racers League.

The first season's main league will be run on the GT game GTR2. We also have a competition for those who play F1 2010 (on any platform!).

Our goal is to provide strong competition amongst a friendly community of racers. All experience levels are welcome and we have championships designed to cater for varying levels of ability to keep the racing close and exciting, via one make classes.

First our first season the main GTR2 league is split into two classes, with the premier URL-1 class being run under more simulation style rules (no TC, ABS etc) with URL-2 allowing these aids to make it accessible to those newer to the game. For the first season we're using privately modded versions the following cars - for URL-1 the Porsche 911 GT1 and URL-2 a Lamborghini Gallardo GT3.

We boast a whole range of classic and modern motorsport livery skins for the cars, the majority of which are exclusive to our league, created by our team (come see my handywork :P ). Loads more preview pics of them here and on our site!

The league racing officially kicks off on September 2nd at Jacarepaguá (Rio, Brazil), with a non-championship warmup race on August 26th. Full calendar details can be seen over at our site and on our Facebook page.

We are ambitious about being the best out there and this league will grow through time and we add more exclusive features and competitions.

If you don't have GTR2 yet don't worry, we can help you out with that!

Please come and check it out, and hopefully see you there! Anyone and everyone is welcome!

Scotty

Oh, now, I'd love to have a go at this. Looks very interesting and could be good fun, although I'd have to get round to buying my new wheel first. :P

One of the classes is designed for those who don't necessarily have a wheel (i don't myself nor do most in that class), so don't let that stop you :)

I've been playing the demo with a 360 pad and to be honest, it just feels rather awful, I can't get it to feel right - either too sensitive or not sensitive enough. I haven't been able to find anything I'm comfortable with. :(

This GTR2? It's a very good sim so car setup has such a massive effect... Caster and steering lock are the things to change to improve sensitivity though. PM me if you have any GTR2 questions :)

The thing that anoys me are the idiots that only go there to crash with other people...

None of that on our site, idiots like that would just get kicked from the league (a benefit compared to console online gaming imo :) ).

I played GTR2, but only oin keyboard, and I didn't mess with setup! :)

Wow, i wouldn't be able to handle the steering on a keyboard myself... :P Anyway, our league is open to anyone who wants to join no matter what they use to race :)

Hey, i race online on consoles and our leagues are clean as anything.

Yeah, cause it's all organised and stuff. I meant the lobby games where you just turn up and race whoever - always some tool around who just punts others off (definitely on Dirt 3 anyway!).

Yeah, it's more an issue with steering input. Despite turning the sensitivity down as low as I could, if you catch the stick it can flick all the way to the left/right without much pressure.

We've got a non-championship race at Spa on Friday evening (UK time) as a warm up for this season, it's also a great opportunity for anyone who may be interested in joining us but isn't totally sure to dip their toe in the water, so to speak. :)

It'll also serve as a great way to get in the mood (even more so!) for this weekend's F1 race! :hehe::)
