hey hello im a new member, here this is my first post and i felt like i would come and present myself, ive been watching formula one really avidly since 2007 but since almost all of them get transmitted at 4 am where i am i havnt kept up with the sport for the last year. through the forums though i intend to learn more about it all.

btw im a quite popular user of these soccer forums and we have a forula one thread but guessed this would be better.

so since i present myself maybe i could ask a few questions i had in my mind while coming here.

How highly do you rate nice rosberg? dont you think hes been a victim of never being in a really title challenging car? he spend too many years at williams and did nothing and now hes in his 2nd with mercedes and still zilch?

maybe hes another button who can drive well outhere but just needs a car?

how highly do u rate him?

and also do you think mercedes gp, under ross brawn will ever be able to get to where they want?

I noticed you had got a few views but no actually comments so i thought id give my opinnion (not that it counts for much most days :hehe: )

Firstly i like Nico Rosberg hes a good driver who has proven he is capable of getting on the podium when the car is capable....i would however like to see him in another team either RBR or Mclaren (even though i Mclaren have two of the best drivers out there and ofcourse im a fan of both of them) but i wouldnt mind him mixing in with either teams (maybe replacing Mark Webber at RBR)

Also i think it may take a little time for Mercedes to get to where they want too...but they are occasionally mixing it up with the top 3 teams....patience is a virtue and i hope they can soon properly start mixing things up even more when it comes to racing against RBR, Ferrari and Mclaren

i hope mercedes starts banging around the next 2 years, i do see him at rbr to be honest, but i wouldnt like to see him be a 2nd driver like webber is to vettel.

(lets face it webber aint winning anything)

i dont know but i think the only reason rbr has kept more composure team wise its cause its well more organaized that mclaren or ferrari are atm, mostly due to the fact that webber wont touch vettel, webber is like a wall blocking anyone from touching vettel though, if rosberg goes to rbr it would get dirty.

Greetings

It would be interesting to see Rosberg driving along side the likes of Hamilton,Alonso or Vettel. If hes good enough he wouldn't have to worry about the number 2 bit.As class would shine through. :hehe:

Welcome Schumacher. There is a section on the forum for new member to introduce themselves. I was going to move your post into that section but since you ask some interesting questions I've decide to leave it where it is but retitle it. Hope you don't mind

In answer to the question, I think Rosberg is very good but not top notch. I do think he's been underated and in the right car yes could be a Button.

I rate Nico Rosberg very highly. He needs a good car now, and given that opportunity, I feel he'll be a star.

I would love to see Mercedes advance to the front. My ideal championship battle would be McLaren, Ferrari, Red Bull and Mercedes all slogging it out at the front, and with Lotus emerging to steal a win here and there. :D

I reckon Mercedes will make the top step within the next couple of years.

I really couldnt have put this better myself, i want Red Bull Mclaren Ferrari and Mercedes to all be front running teams for the long term, imagine 8 drivers with a win capable car, the excitement doesnt bear thinking about!

Welcome to the forum! :wavey:

In case you haven't realised, I'm the annoying Vettel fan who is tasked with trying to prove Vettel-doubters wrong - and unfortunately not doing too well at it. It is a unique role in this forum and one I have been proud of.... :hehe::P:twisted:

I've met you indirectly throughout some other threads, so it's about time I made the effort to say hi!

In regards to Rosberg, he really is the great unknown in the world of Formula One. I believe the best thing for him is to stay put at Mercedes. The top three teams have classy drivers in Alonso, Vettel, and Hamilton - with Button now coming to the fore as his more level-headed approach to racing is now translating into classy results. For Rosberg to move to any of those teams would be a mistake, in my opinion, as he could easily get out-performed.

What he needs to do is continue to continue to establish himself at Mercedes, which will hopefully, eventually translate into race wins.

My fear is that he is actually not good enough to take it to the top drivers. Should he move it would be a gamble. It could pay off, or he could end up going backwards like Heikki Kovaleinen - who was once touted as having a great future in the sport.

ty :D in my short time here i could notice u were a pretty big rbr and vettel fan :D

i agree with all that u said, but dont u imagine hime and vettel being a great team?

IMO, nico is in the same level as button and webber(below hamilton, alonso, and vettel)

He's good but he's not the best...

I don't think it's really fair to say that, since they've all had opportunities in the best cars and he hasn't. I think Rosberg has potential to be right up there with the best, he's shown some great flashes of brilliance and definitely needs to have a better car soon. A move to McLaren, Ferrari or Red Bull would do him some good, I think.

Hello mate,

I notice you said something along the lines of "Rosberg is another Button where all he needs is a good car to perform"..to be honest I rate Rosberg highly. Isn't he the only driver in history to beat Lewis Hamilton in equal machinery?

People make fun of his feminine looks but I think he's one of the toughest cookies out there. Another Kimi if you like, but a lot more approachable. It would be a great pairing to have Rosberg either at RB to partner Seb, or McLaren to partner Lewis again.

oh yes it would be very exciting, and yes what i ment when i said like another button, is that he just needs the good car, and he will show hes more than ordinary, if he hasnt already.
