I wouldn't be opposed to Damon Hill being FIA president; he's done a great job at the BRDC with Silverstone! And I like Damon Hill, supported him throughout his F1 career! from me!

I'd never thought about this, but I think he would actually do a very good job. He's very level headed and rational, and appears to always be both fair and considered when discussing any matter relating to F1 and motorsport in general.

May I ask what the line of thought that led to the hypothetical?

I watched a number of his driving/interview videos on YouTube/BBC last night and he struck me as the perfect candidate to represent F1 in it's highest order.

I'm sure those are his ambitions, or at least some sort of long term goal.

I think not (to him being president). Not because he would not be a good president, but rather because i would prefer some sort of parliament for the FIA. Right now its too centralised. The Mosley heritage; perhaps with time it'll change into something different.

Yep. He'd be brill!

As a Schumacher fan I would be concerned. :hehe:

As far as hypothetical FIA Presidents go, my vote would go to Niki Lauda. He is what I think F1 needs. Just someone who speaks their mind and doesn't go in for double talk. He seems the sort of guy that you would very quickly know where you stand with him.

I think Jean Todt is doing a good job though. Unlike MrM, he is leading without being too visible and FOTA and the FIA seem to be getting pretty well and working together.

Niki Lauda has an irrational hatred of Lewis. So no.
