To rival the Ferrari Colnago i guess.

I know what one id rather have (colnago),

Is this one even carbon fibre?

Everything on a pro tour peloton bike is carbon fiber these days!

BTW... I had tons of respect for pure artisans including Ernesto Colnago, when bikes were made from steel, and you could brag about immaculately welded butts... there was true artistry. Today frame making is done in CAD, not as romantic to appreciate the artistry there.

They steel make top quality bikes in aluminium frames. They dont use them in the big races of course, but i didnt see anything about this mclaren bike set to be used by anyone....

Yeah, in one of the press releases, they specifically mentioned Cavendish. Basically look at which teams are using Specialized as their rides, and you're likely to find the patron sitting on one.

Oh is it!?, well then it must be a nifty little sprinter. Id love to buy my own and join the local cycling groups around and my old man loves cycling more then F1, so recently ive been getting into that, but i look at even entry-level bikes and i could get something with four wheels and engine and a roof for that!

Yeah Specialized and McLaren worked together with McLaren's expertise with Carbon Fibre, which saved 150g off the normal Carbon fibre S-Works Venge. All to do with how it was put together and layered. Plus some aero work in the wind tunnel to work on better Aero.

I only found out about this because im a fan of Specialized on facebook, (I have an 09 Pitch Comp Trail bike) saw this in the news feed and went wtf McLaren... :hehe:

Just on the Colnago, Ferrari didnt actually have anything to do with that bike in terms of development it was just a livery to represent 60 years of Ferrari.
