- 31 May 13, 08:05#360932I've always considered him as a good and reliable driver. Just never really had a good enough car to fight for WDC, but on the other hand he has never lost to a teammate. Is there any other driver with that record on the field or is Alonso also officially unbeaten?
He lacks a bit of the GPM*-factor excitement, but on the other hand can finish a race and get points which comes handy if you're a fast driver in a fast car. I think he's a bit Massa like in this, a good qualifier if the car is fast, not so much of a racer. So likes to drive in the lead, unlikely to do many overtaking moves. Unfortunately for him the current F1 doesn't really suit for that style so much. Without DRS, KERS etc with a car like Merc he would be a much stronger, if there would be a chance to keep faster cars behind you.
