Well, for the first time in quite a while he's got a team-mate who is in his prime and highly rated. This is the first season where we can really judge just how good Nico is, and so far I have to say he's doing a pretty good job. Also makes you wonder if maybe Schumacher's comeback wasn't as bad as people like to claim...

I rate him quite highly. I wholeheartedly believe he'd have won the WDC at least once by now, were he in a top car. His maturity is of the highest. He just kept his mouth shut and got on with the job for three years while the media gave him little credit with the argument about schumacher being out of his prime, and also staying behind hamilton when told to do so in malaysia.

You would like that characteristic :hehe:

Schumacher did a better job vs Rosberg than Hamilton has vs Rosberg this season.

I've always considered him as a good and reliable driver. Just never really had a good enough car to fight for WDC, but on the other hand he has never lost to a teammate. Is there any other driver with that record on the field or is Alonso also officially unbeaten?

He lacks a bit of the GPM*-factor excitement, but on the other hand can finish a race and get points which comes handy if you're a fast driver in a fast car. I think he's a bit Massa like in this, a good qualifier if the car is fast, not so much of a racer. So likes to drive in the lead, unlikely to do many overtaking moves. Unfortunately for him the current F1 doesn't really suit for that style so much. Without DRS, KERS etc with a car like Merc he would be a much stronger, if there would be a chance to keep faster cars behind you.

To be honest I've been one who's underestimated him. He is doing a fine job this season, and I now rate him as probably the 3rd best driver on the grid behind Vettel/Alonso. He should've been on the podium in Malaysia and has had 3 consecutive pole positions, against HAMILTON!!!

Will be interesting comparing the two over the course of the season.... Perhaps some Rosberg to Ferrari rumours will start flying soon.

He lost to his rookie team mate in 07.

Actually, Rosberg ended 07 7 points ahead of Wurz.

Sorry, I was answering SingaporeSling above... should have quoted it.
