I remember that comment. My opinion of him changed dramatically after that.

For me I thought he was starting to do stupid stuff last year, but was happy to see him winning (or Bourdais scoring points) when Williams were having crap weekends with the FW30, but it's only recently I've gone off him after lie-gate, moaning, the pussycat doll, generally being arrogant etc.

So he should go out with a girl of your choice? What has his girlfriend got to do with it ,please enlighten me. Lie gate, hmm you disliked him long before that, please be honest and don't use lie gate,it's a cop out. Dear Lewis please don't bring your GF to the track because i don't like her ,even though the other drivers bring their girlfriends.

Confidence is sometimes mistaken for arrogance just like Michael Schumacher, but i guess you like him, right? I can understand you don't like Lewis but the excuses why are just a smoke screen and an excuse to give your dislike some credibility.

You don't like LW ,then that's fine but at least been honest with yourself for the reasons why. All the reason you say you don't like him for could apply to numerous drivers on the grid.

What is his off track image,i would really like to know what's so bad about his off track image.

Is it drugs,no.
Is it his playboy image,no Jenson button held that crown for years.
Is it his partying image, no.
Is it his confidence image, probably,is their a law against being confident?
Is it his dad wanting to manage him so other so called agents don't take liberty's with his money deal,..can you blame his dad for wanting his son to get the best possible deal.

Show me one off track bad thing that lewis has done away from F1.

When has lewis been in the paper for anything he has done away from f1 in a negative light.

His statements to the press, what statements are you talking about.

Has he swore at the press or has he attacked the press, please explain what he has done wrong to the press.

Oh, you are going to say he is arrogan, is he? Perhaps he knows what the press are like and makes sure he keeps them at arms length.

Michael Schumacher was a arrgoant pig sometimes but know one complains about him.

He was arrogant from the time he enter F1 to the time he left, what do you think about him.

I would like Hamilton a lot more if did drugs, drank, smoked, swore and womanised. At least he wouldn't be some PR robot. Which he is and what's more, he's quite bad at it. He keeps coming out with stuff that's just plain disrespectful. Michael Schumacher was never disrespectful. In fact, he wasn't arrogant. Even his former rivals don't say that he was arrogant. He was very, very confident in his own ability but then he was one of the greatest drivers in the history of the sport so he had every right to be.

If you think that Hamilton's attitudes towards other drivers are the same as thing as Schumacher's supposed arrogance then you clearly haven't been paying very close attention to the world of F1 over the least few years. You must be getting your information from the back page of the metro or something...

Are you for real? seriously have you been watching F1 for the last 15 years or what.

Hah, i remember that, the fact that it happened that soon after it was said amused me :D twas a shame Raikkonen didn't go on to win, but ah well, life goes on.

Think Hamilton learnt from that though. I can't remember him making any of those sort of comments since...

Yes I think he did, but the thing which made that whole thing worse, was remember in France earlier in the year:

"I can win from the back, If I do I will be a legend" etc etc. He got egg on his face then, and I thought he would have learned his lesson then,
But no, he came out with that outside pass remark.
I hope he has learned his lesson.

For me, that one wasn't so bad, it was the ones ridiculing his opponents - 'no one can pass me round the outside', 'i don't want to be stuck with the monkeys at the back' etc etc

I remember that comment. My opinion of him changed dramatically after that.

Wow, lets lock him up for a bit of bravo, lol, i guess all other F1 drivers are perfect and have never spoken the odd bit of bravo.

Nit picking comes to mind.If you didn't like because of that then you really never liked him in the first place,at least be honest.

I didn't say that I liked him in the first place ;)

Nor, for that matter, did I say that he was the only one that said stupid things.

er yes, watching it and making my own mind up rather than subscribing to some tabloid perpetuated caricature image of events. and you? Hamilton seems like an OK guy but he comes out with some cr*p!

Like many other drivers(Michael Schumacher) over the years, should he be constantly hated on for this.

Thank god I never became an F1 driver . . . I'd have been hated the world over! :hehe:

he should definitely get some stick for it, at least until he stops. Again, Schumacher is not comparable

Why isn't he? Michael Schumacher was arrogant before he had even won anything in F1,from start to finish he was the same, but you conveniently want to forget that. This comparrison is not about the amount of WDC they have won ,it's about both their arrogant/confident personality's.

I can't comment on Schumacher pre-'98, but you must remember that that is pretty much how Hamilton came in to the sport. :)

Schumacher wasn't arrogant, his rivals don't think he was, journalists who actually met don't think so, people within F1 who came into contact with him don't think so. You're don't know better than these people and neither do the tabloids you obviously get your information from.

Both drivers thrive on confidence so they act in a way that enables them to build on their success which is fair enough. Disrespecting other drivers however, is not. I can remember very few inexperienced F1 drivers who have come in to the sport shooting off their mouth in the manner Ham boy did.

How did he come into the sport, how long have you been watching LH because he was a winner long before F1. Some people actually forget that LH didn't just appear in F1 one day. Explain what you mean by "how he came into the sport" instead of just saying it.

All i am hearing or reading is "how he came into the sport" explain what you mean .

Is English your native language? Because if it is, then that's pretty simple to work out.

Man you are so wrong..

Let me give you one example of Michael Schumacher arrogance..

Accidents happen, but apparently the seven-time world F1 champ doesn't like admitting he was wrong, at least according to Kingham.

'"The last thing you expect on a quiet afternoon is to be run over by Michael Schumacher - it was unbelievable,' Mr Kingham, 39, told the Daily Mirror:

'He came from behind me to overtake two old ladies in a little Fiat. The first thing I knew I was flat on my face after the collision.

Martin Kingham was clipped by Schumacher as he was closing his garage
'When I realised who had hit me I thought I had concussion.'
Schumacher, who has a sponsorship deal with Fiat, was on his way to a private jet at a nearby airfield when he accident happened in Lydd, Kent.

Mr Kingham added:'"I was putting the security bars up outside the garage before going home. I have to stand on the edge of the road and keep an eye on the traffic.

'Out of nowhere I heard a bang behind me. It spun me round and I was thrown forward on to my face, hitting the bonnet of a parked van.

'I thought I recognised the driver but my head was spinning. He was screaming: 'What the hell were you doing in the road.
'He seemed cross, as if I was in the wrong. I called the police.'

Martin reported the incident to Kent Police who breathalysed the driver - and were amazed to discover his identity - before letting him go. The father-of-one, who is married to wife Leona, 36, added: "The police realised I wasn't too injured and told us to swap addresses, then he just got back in the van and drove off without even looking at me.

'He still didn't apologise. He was arrogant. The way I landed was lucky. My leg was aching, and the next day a big bruise came up below my knee.

Imagine if Lewis had done this..lol,this forum would be calling for blood..

I can link many reporters telling you how arrogant he was but ill let you find them yourself..

I have an answer, but anybody with a good grasp of the English language should understand what I wrote easily enough. There is absolutely nothing complex about it and it was clearly written.
