Going to apologise to Trulli, here. I said he'd probably still be in a bad mood if Heikki out-qualified him after the power steering upgrade, but he was pretty positive. Turns out moaning isn't his only setting!

I really believed Lewis could get pole this time, especially since McLaren had the confidence in sending him out on the harder tyres in Q2. Does this mean he has an extra supersoft set for tomorrow then?

Great lap from Button...wow, that's mighty close to Lewis! I didn't think he'd feature much this weekend.

yes, I believe it does. Two fresh sets, I think.

super softs last so little, maybe it wont even be all that great to use them all that much.. who knows

Now.. WHAT THE DIBBIDY BOP HAPPENED to Alonso's last lap??
seemed he got discouraged he wasnt going to get pole, eased off and let the others past him?!!

ah well.. wait for the race, they probably "have a good strategy to fight for the win".....

The soft tyres wont last more than 20 laps either, I believe the majority of the field will be looking for a 3 stopper tomorrow.

Oh yes....Massa piping his teammate in the last second helped put a smile on my face after Vettel spoiled my party. :hehe:

Really thought Red Bull's qualifying parade was going to be flattened in Budapest today, but alas, it wasn't to be. :irked:

McLaren often have great race pace though, so I hope they can pile the pressure on Vettel, who will do his best to bomb it at the start and in the first few laps. Really want to see him get beaten good and proper tomorrow :twisted:

Good shows by Sutil again and also Perez. Di Resta could really badly do with some points. He hasn't disappointed, but the points haven't been there to prove it. He trails Sutil by a fair way in the standings now.

Enjoyed today's qualifying even though Vettel pipped Hamilton to pole :banghead:

Was nice to see Jenson have a good qualifying session and Massa out qualifying Alonso made me :D

Tommorrow looks like its gonna be a cracking race and im really looking forward to it (so long as Hamilton drives like he did last weekend...then ill be very happy)

Alonso didnt seem to fussed about being 5th on the grid in his interview afterwards...so im wondering if he has something up his sleeve...theres no doubt hes one of the best starters so i guess im gonna have to watch this space

The BBC F1 team did cracking coverage today (professional to the end)...sorry its not related to this actually topic but it needed to be said :)

:yikes: Massa out-qualified Alonso, and the rest of it is more predictable.

Cracking set up for the race, Vettel doesn't have a team mate who makes bad starts to cover him this time, Button's close to Hamilton, and all the while the Ferrari's tend to make strong starts.

Very strange one. Especially when the mechanics pulled an 'all nighter' which made Seb get faster ....and Marky get slower. :hehe:

:hehe::hehe:

They pulled an 'all nighter' making sebs car faster whilst they just 'pulled marks car apart and didnt finish the job off

They pulled an all nighter to undo an upgrade that didn't work I believe. This may come as a shock but there is no conspiracy here.

As for Webber, it seems it was his turn for KERS problems early in qualifying though there was a radio transmission broadcast at the start of Q3 (or was it Q2?) telling him that KERS had come back to life. Webber was struggling a bit in practice as well. I'd be surprised if he doesn't have good race pace, either that or he is just trying to piss of Horner. :hehe:

Great qualifying today really thought Hamilton was going to do it but it was not to be. I would not be surprised to see Hamilton and maybe Button getting ahead of Vettel at the start and then Alonso also not far into the race.

Also had to love the part when Jake said "Fernando the fuel is faster than you" made me laugh.

Hoping this can carry on for the rest of the season as Vettel can be caught.
