Added to the fact the Ferrari had more tracks which suited it better!

I'd agree with that one. McLaren were helped along nicely by the wet weather races we had too (seemed to be more than usual last year?), i think the Ferrari's would have won in, for example, Silverstone and Spa if it was dry.

I would argue against that. I think the F2008 had a slight speed advantage. But the McLaren was 100% reliable throughout the season. Neither Ferrari or the F2008 were reliable. A few engine failures, and seriously botched pit stops lead to Massa's demise.

But it's hard to argue. I mean there were many weekends like Valencia, Turkey, Singapore, Belgium that you could argue both McLaren and Ferrari were equal and one driver just did the better job. Or you could argue it's the car. I mean, Kimi and Kovy were off-colour so often, it's hard to judge against their team-mates.

I'd say the fact he put it in the wall at oz and then spun of in malaysia and spun it out of the points in silverstone also didn't help masa.

You can't blame 1 botched pitstop and 1 engine faliure when Mclaren also had an engine failure it was Hekki not Lewis.

The F2008 was better at 70% of the circuits.

If I owned the team I'd take Button. If I bet my life savings, I'd take Hamilton. Hamilton has more upside because of age and sheer speed. Hamilton has a championship under his belt, and people way smarter than me saw that championship form very early on. He may be ragged at times, he may make some poor decisions, but he's loaded with talent and I can't magine him not winning another championship. For Button, I'm very happy, but it feels like a one off, like the stars and planets aligned.

Actually, they botched the pit stop in Canada and Singapore. Plus sending him out too late in Silverstone, so that he couldn't set a 2nd lap. Lewis had a McLaren and a team that never once failed him. Any problem during his races were down his own driver errors. Thats why I personally I think Lewis was 10x better in 2007. During 2007 he drove like a seasoned driver and was exceptional. Whilst 2008 he drove more like a rookie.

But again, last year you can't say for definite that McLaren or Ferrari were better at some circuits. Yes, early on Ferrari were clearly better at places like Malaysia, Bahrain, and Barcelona. Whilst McLaren were a clear force during Germany, Montreal, and China. But at some tracks like Hungary, Singapore, Valencia, or Spa. How do you know it just wasn't down to driver.

Yeh Massa did have some small trouble with the team but then again he got very mild punishments from the FIA also.

At the end of the day tho you enter as a team and you win or loose a team.

And both drivers were very sloppy especialy LH compared to 2007 but he was new and pressure hit him that season.

In Silverstone

In Silverstone, if McLaren and Brawn are at the same pace, who would you like to see take that top spot? now it does not only come down to who deserves it, but who would work the hardest? Because lets get a reality check, Button has got lucky like lewis did in 2007, Button has a good car through luck, if he moved he would be kissing Barrichello's back wheel, so who deserves it? Who would be most gracious? Who would give the Fans a real show?

I'd obv perfer to see Lewis make it 2 in a row.

After silverstone 2008 he deserved it.

I mean he wasn't just good then he was amazing.
