Did you see Lewis' reaction? Wonder how he's living with it.

Even if he was in the right frame of mind, it would be tough to win this WDC. The McLaren is a piece of shiny garbage compared to the Ferrari and Redbull now.

Lewis went for the move, it was legit and it was tight...too bad he relied on cooperation from Webber which he didn't receive. From now, it's going to be almost impossible to go for the WDC for Lewis. Lousy car plus a 20 point disadvantage....4 races left.

Lousy car? Button seemed to do just fine with it last race and only lost due to a pit crew that was just a tad slower than Ferrari. Hamilton was near the front with it again this race...before he pulled a Hamilton. Button finished 4th fighting for 3rd. You can't call the car lousy. That is just ridiculous. It's been solid, reliable and fast. The driver made a cok of it, not the car.

This is far beyond what anyone can consider to be someone elses fault yet again. For most of his career, these things just keep happening to Hamilton. He has been in the title chase often enough now and thrown it away with stupid mistakes more often than not...and only by shear luck pulled it off once. He is fun to watch drive, because he is aggressive, but he steps over that aggressive line often and throws the car away doing it. Two races in a row now. Three out of four seasons. This isn't everyone else on track's fault....when it happens this often for this long...you have to look at the driver. He is certainly more tempered than he was in his first two seasons...but, like Vettel.....he still can't control his emotions or his aggression.

You know, I'm glad you've pointed this out... it's exactly the same argument others have given about Alonso's cloud of poison left in the wake of every F1 team he's involved with so it must be true!

Just like Monaco and Hungary, the Mclaren was not the best car for these tracks. Their performance was more or less expected for Singapore. In fact, Lewis getting P3 in Qualy was a good achievement. They were behind on race pace, but like at Hungary and Monaco, the car was simply not competitive on those tracks.

The rest of the tracks are very different... so i really doubt Mclaren will be lousy in the remaining races. Obviously, Red Bull is still the car to beat, but F and Mc have made steps to close the gap. How much, we'll see in Suzuka. Suzuka will tell what's the best car all around to fight til the end.

Webber could have DNFd as well, which proves things are just on a wire. 20 pts disadvantage is nothing to place a bet on. Anything over 30 is tough to overcome, but 20 is completely challengeable.

Yeah I think Alonso has shown how its not too far fetched to pull yourself back in the game. 20 points is less than a win, although if I was a betting man my money would be on Alonso as things currently stand.

Ferrari's got the important momentum factor, that's a big deal.

Yeah great, but my post was relatively speaking. The McLaren was rubbish in race pace...and everyone expected them to be a real threat in the race as they qualified quite respectably. Fighting for 3rd isn't too great when you have a WDC to be won mate, I'm sure that's quite clear for you to figure out as well.

As a Mclaren/Hamilton I was more than disappointed with what happened in Singapore and I'm not a fan of Webber but here's my take on this, this is not a rant against him btw.

Webber has bared his teeth and he is ferocious, and completely insane which is why he's probably going to win the drivers championship this season. All this crap about who had what line is bullpoo, the line means nothing and this was 50/50, Webber made sure of that. What Hamilton did is exactly what any driver would normally do in that situation expecting the driver on the inside and further back to yeild and that's exactly what Webber expected him to think, Webber however, did the unexpected and went in knowing exactly what would happen, not caring if he took them both out and because of that Hamilton was being totally honest in his interview when he said he had no idea what happened and I feel this is similar to what happened in Turkey and why Vettel was making the loopy finger gesture as he couldn't comprehend what had just happened. Webber, leading the championship by only a few points, knew exactly what he was doing and has raised himself quite a bit in my opinion but that still doesn't mean I like him but my respect for him has grown.
Hamilton and Vettel don't have the experience to deal with this yet, I'm unsure about Button and think the only driver who really has is Alonso but even he might struggle to deal with Webber in this mindset.
From now on it's going to be between Webber and Alonso and Mclarens only chance is to either come out with a car that's good enough for the front row in every remaining race which I very much doubt or if they get lucky and Webber and Alonso take each other out.

I think your giving Webber to much credit there, yes he was going for it and wasn't backing off, but I doubt he calculated it, it was also possible for Hamilton to avoid by going wider, but he didn't see Webber. It's a racing incident, both drivers could have done something differently, only one was needed to avoid the accident. I push it slightly towards Hamilton, as I think he could've left Webber enough room and still made the pass stick, but Hamilton didn't see Webber so its harsh to blame him.

Webber was in the wrong,Lewis was nearly a cars length in front of him. Lewis may not be able to win but he can have a say who wins if he finishes the last 3 or 4(Korea) races strong. I really think Vettel has a chance to nick this off Webber and i really can't see Alonso winning any more this season. Let's say we get into a situation where Vettel needs to pass Lewis to win the WDC, i know what i would do,i would let vettel pass me discreetly.

A picture never lies and Webber could live to regret his blatant push on Lewis.
