Even if he was in the right frame of mind, it would be tough to win this WDC. The McLaren is a piece of shiny garbage compared to the Ferrari and Redbull now.
Lewis went for the move, it was legit and it was tight...too bad he relied on cooperation from Webber which he didn't receive. From now, it's going to be almost impossible to go for the WDC for Lewis. Lousy car plus a 20 point disadvantage....4 races left.
This is far beyond what anyone can consider to be someone elses fault yet again. For most of his career, these things just keep happening to Hamilton. He has been in the title chase often enough now and thrown it away with stupid mistakes more often than not...and only by shear luck pulled it off once. He is fun to watch drive, because he is aggressive, but he steps over that aggressive line often and throws the car away doing it. Two races in a row now. Three out of four seasons. This isn't everyone else on track's fault....when it happens this often for this long...you have to look at the driver. He is certainly more tempered than he was in his first two seasons...but, like Vettel.....he still can't control his emotions or his aggression.

Yeah I think Alonso has shown how its not too far fetched to pull yourself back in the game. 20 points is less than a win, although if I was a betting man my money would be on Alonso as things currently stand.

Lousy car? Button seemed to do just fine with it last race and only lost due to a pit crew that was just a tad slower than Ferrari. Hamilton was near the front with it again this race...before he pulled a Hamilton. Button finished 4th fighting for 3rd. You can't call the car lousy. That is just ridiculous. It's been solid, reliable and fast. The driver made a cok of it, not the car.

.I think your giving Webber to much credit there, yes he was going for it and wasn't backing off, but I doubt he calculated it, it was also possible for Hamilton to avoid by going wider, but he didn't see Webber. It's a racing incident, both drivers could have done something differently, only one was needed to avoid the accident. I push it slightly towards Hamilton, as I think he could've left Webber enough room and still made the pass stick, but Hamilton didn't see Webber so its harsh to blame him.
